April

A very busy photo collage, divided into roughly 3 parts. On the left is a big freezer, like you see in a shop. Various shelves of the freezer are filled with more photos, such as a communal meal at Nottinghack, or some bicycle repairs. In the middle is a view of Southwell Minster -- a beautiful English Gothic church with a hand-coloured pencil flag reading 'HOPE' superimposed over one of the spires. In the photo, I stand with my back to the camera wearing a wide brimmed hat and a cardboard sign that says 'SEALS!! NOT BAD ENERGY DEALS' is positioned over my back. On the left is a view through a terrace alleyway, except over the end I have put the light pattern cast by a stained-glass window, and a field of dry glass. In the foreground are various photos of me, including one of me looking super cool in a sleeveless yellow knit top B). Theres also me drinking a mug of tea, running, protesting playing an agogo, a dog, a cat, a calculator and a plate of food with mashed potato.

In April I...

Among other things...

Lots and lots of meetings and volunteering. A lot of physics-doing, lots of time in the hackspace working on various projects -- painting a wall, making a table for a giant toy dinosaur. Did a 10k around a reservoir with a lovely dog called Biscuit. Played the drums a lot, went to the pub with friends, attended a small imaging conference, saw a fantastic immersive theatre performance, watched back to the future 3, went for a long walk with a friend, spent a lovely afternoon in Sheffield with a different friend. Performed with people in Barcelona via the internet. Attended anti-racist poetry evening. Attended a super slay springtime Drag for Palestine fundraiser. Got rather stressed about everything...

Wow, that's six months of these! They're doing what I want them to, too. I feel like it's bringing the month back to me.

Next month......last month.
