This is a really good book! I really liked it. It had been on my pile to ‘read again, see if i like it, give it away’, but nope, I liked it even more.
It’s cosy, and hopeful, but not boring (looking at you, Orbital by Samantha Harvey). The characters are 3 dimensional, and all of them are well-fleshed-out despite there only being 4 in total. The plot exists! There is real tension, and questions, and a dramatic arc. Very little conflict, really.

I like the vision it presents of citizen-funded space exploration, and I really appreciate it emphasising the collective effort, and shared decisionmaking and responsibility that entails. Very very cool. One day…
Now I want to study environmental sciences and live on a boat with my found family (bash’) and have a good time. Keeping this book to remind me of this feeling, it’s nice.
